Schubert, LeClair Captains for 2021-2022

BLACKSBURG, VA - Virginia Tech Men's Lacrosse is proud to announce Hunter LeClair ('22) and Mark Schubert ('22) as captains for the 2021-2022 season.  

LeClair hails from Stonewall high school before attending Virginia Tech.  He is a three year starter and is entering his third season as captain.  "It’s a great group of young men and leading them, on and off the field, is a privilege" stated LeClair.  LeClair's accomplishments also extend to the field where he has twice been named to the All Conference Team.

Schubert hails from Northern Virginia where he attend Lake Braddock High School.   After graduating Lake Braddock Schubert headed to Virginia Tech to pursue a degree in Business Intelligence.  "Knowing the type of guys we have on the team, I'm honored that they would choose me to serve as their Captain for this year." said Schubert.  Schubert was recently named to ALC first team All-Conference as well as MVP of the Hokies in 2021.

"These two young men are excellent players on the field but better leaders off of it." said Head Coach Panchito Ojeda.  "I believe they will continue to help us push forward our culture of excellence and embody the motto of Virginia Tech Ut Prosim.  Congratulations to them on this well deserved honor."
