On Sunday the Hokies took on Western Michigan out of the UMLC.  The Broncos were up to the test and the first half was a defensive battle as the Hokies took a 6-2 lead into halftime.  In the third quarter the Hokies began to turn up the heat as they extended their lead to 9-3 and in the fourth they exploded offensively as they finished the game with an 8-2 run for win over the Broncos 17-5.  The Hokies were paced in net by goalie Hunter LeClair who gave up 4 goals while turning away 8.  On offensive they were once against paced by attackmen Jared Cole & Aidan Smith.
