Hokies Announce Inaugural Division II Slate

Blacksburg, VA - In their first ever season as a team the DII Hokies will be face a challenging schedule.  The team is playing a 12 game slate including 6 out of conference opponents.

The Hokies open the season hosting App State in the opening game of a double header (Division I plays JMU).  A divisional game the Hokies will have their hands full to start their season off.  Then they head on the road to have a double header game against Middle Tennessee State and Georgia Southern on February 17.

"We are excited for our Division II team to take the field this year" stated Program Director Panchito Ojeda. "They have worked hard all fall and I believe they will be very competitive this year."

The Hokies play ALC semi-finalist Wake Forest the next weekend before returning home to play Stonehill college on Sunday February 25.

The team travels to Washington DC to face Arizona Division II and then onto Colorado where they will play National Semi-finalist Air Force and Denver University. The Hokies return home to host divisional foe Elon before welcoming Davidson to for alumni weekend on 3/23.
