Hokies Add Joel Smith as Division II Head Coach

Blacksburg, VA - The Hokies would like to welcome Joel Smith as Head Coach of our Division II squad.  Joel played for the Hokies in 2023 and has returned to lead their inaugural Division II squad.

"When looking for a coach to lead our program we needed to look no further then within these walls" stated Program Director Panchito Ojeda. "Joel understands what VT Lacrosse is and will do an excellent job of establishing our CULTURE and setting the standard. I can't wait to see how he leads this group."

The Division II team is off and running with the season losing their season opener 13-12 in overtime.  They face Middle Tennessee and Georgia Southern this weekend in Statesboro, GA.
