2025 DII Team Awards Announcement

What a ride it’s been for our Division II squad. This team made history—our first-ever playoff win, our first-ever Final Four, and our first-ever appearance in the ALC Championship. It was a season built on belief, toughness, and a brotherhood that never backed down.

As we look back on all we accomplished, we want to recognize a group of players whose efforts stood out and helped shape this unforgettable season:

🏆 Dedication Award – Greg Durkin
Greg showed up early, stayed late, and gave his all in everything he did. His commitment to the program never wavered, and his consistency helped raise the standard for everyone.

📈 Most Improved – Wesley Hefin
Wesley made massive strides this season. His confidence, skills, and game IQ took a huge jump—and his development was a big reason for our success.

🔥 Most Valuable Player – Justin Cole
From sideline to spotlight, Justin was the heartbeat of this team. He made game-changing plays, led by example, and always rose to the moment. An irreplaceable leader in a historic season.

🫡 Unsung Hero – Nick Bellem
Nick did the hard work that doesn’t show up in the box score—but every coach and player noticed. Whether in between the lines or in the huddle, he made this team better every single day.

🌟 Rookie of the Year – Eli Koscho
A future star who’s already making noise. Eli came in fearless and made an immediate impact. The best part? He’s just getting started.

🎯 Leading Scorer – Danny McGann
When we needed goals, Danny delivered. He was our go-to scorer and a constant offensive threat all season long.

💛 Spirit Award – Jackson Calvert
The voice, the vibe, the fire. Jackson brought energy to everything he did—from warmups to overtime. The soul of the squad.

🤝 Team First Award – Mason Mitchell
No ego. All heart. Mason always put the needs of the team above his own and embodied what it means to be a true teammate.

A message from Head Coach Joel Smith:
"This year was special because of the people. These award winners led with their actions, lifted those around them, and helped take this program to a place it’s never been before. Proud doesn’t begin to describe it."
