D2 Set to Host William & Mary in Key ALC Showdown

BLACKSBURG, VA – April 2, 2025 — The Virginia Tech Division II men’s lacrosse team will host the William & Mary Tribe this Saturday, April 4 at 2:00 PM on the Marching Virginians field in a pivotal Atlantic Lacrosse Conference (ALC) divisional clash.

The Hokies (6-4) enter the matchup riding the momentum of a strong regular season, having secured the #2 seed in the ALC. With playoff aspirations in full view, Saturday’s contest represents the final tune-up before postseason play begins. The team has shown steady improvement throughout the spring and looks to close out the regular season with another statement win in front of a home crowd.

William & Mary (2-8) may be underdogs on paper, but the Tribe are a scrappy, determined squad hungry for a late-season upset. After a tough stretch of games, they’ll be looking to notch their third win and build momentum heading into the offseason.

Last year’s matchup between the two teams was a nail-biter, with Virginia Tech narrowly edging out William & Mary in a physical and competitive contest. Fans should expect another intense battle as both programs look to finish strong.

Faceoff is set for 2:00 PM at the Marching Virginians field. Admission is free and fans are encouraged to wear maroon and orange to support the Hokies as they look to cap off the regular season in style.
