D1 Wraps Up Competitive 2025 Campaign

BLACKSBURG, VA — The Virginia Tech Men’s Division I Lacrosse team wrapped up its 2025 season with a 9-6 overall record, highlighted by signature wins over then-#1 ranked Liberty and perennial powerhouse #3 Georgia Tech. While the Hokies fell short of capturing an Atlantic Lacrosse Conference (ALC) or MCLA national title, the year was defined by competitive play, resilient effort, and a culture of pride and toughness that continues to grow.

The team will graduate nine seniors who have made a lasting impact on the program, leaving behind a strong foundation of leadership and grit. With approximately 35 players set to return in 2026, the future remains bright for Hokie Lacrosse.

“We were in the fight every week,” said Head Coach Panchito Ojeda. “This group battled through injuries and adversity, and never stopped believing in one another. We’re proud of what we accomplished and excited for what’s ahead.”

Special thanks go to Coach Justin Pavoni and Coach David Manning for their outstanding work leading the defensive unit, which delivered consistent and high-level performances throughout the season. A heartfelt thank you also goes to Coach Liz Bianco, whose influence on team culture has been instrumental in building a program rooted in connection, accountability, and purpose.

The Hokies now turn their attention to the offseason and the 2026 campaign, with the same fire, focus, and belief that fueled this year’s run.
